Butcher-block shelves, off the kitchenJonathan Van Dyke built our house in 2016, and he was approachable and thoughtful any time we brought him a concern. The plan called for a lot of windows in the main living area — we love them, and they fill the whole house with light. But in the kitchen, all those windows left hardly any room for the upper cabinets I’d really wanted. I hadn’t even said anything yet when Jonathan came to me and asked what was wrong; he could tell I wasn’t quite at ease. Once I explained, he reworked it so I got my upper cabinets — and the kitchen turned out exactly right. We couldn’t be happier with this home. He communicates well, he listens, and he moves to correct anything that needs changing. If we ever build again, Jonathan is who we’d call — and we highly recommend Connect Contracting for any build or renovation.
Jonathan has an eye for detail, works hard, and is resourceful when obstacles come up — and there were plenty on our job. We took down an old cabin in Hope and built back from scratch. Not easy. He handled it. We’d recommend him without hesitation.
