I spent years as a worship pastor. That job is almost entirely about reading people — understanding what someone actually needs, not just what they say they want, and figuring out how to meet them there. When I moved into renovation work, I brought that with me.
I started Connect because I was tired of watching homeowners go through renovations feeling unheard. They’d get a quote, sign a contract, and then spend three months anxious about what was happening in their house. That’s not how it should work.
The best renovations start with a real conversation — about your family, your budget, how you use your space, what drives you crazy about it now. That’s where I start every job.

We’re a small, tight team. Everyone who comes into your home has been vetted — for skill and for character. We communicate, we clean up, and we show up when we say we will.
Aaron Devries, on site
Aaron Mokry, on siteEvery project moves through the same three stages. You’ll always know where we are and what’s coming next.
We start with a conversation, not a quote. I’ll come walk the space with you — usually over coffee. We talk about what you want, what you’ve tried before, what your budget looks like, and what success feels like to you. No pressure. Just listening.
After the walkthrough, I put together a scope and an honest price. We go over it together — every line item. If something doesn’t fit the budget, we figure out alternatives. Nothing moves forward until we’re both confident in the plan.
We show up on schedule, keep the site clean, and keep you in the loop. If something unexpected comes up (it happens), we tell you immediately — before we spend a dollar more. When we leave, the only thing left behind is the work.
We do it right the first time, even when it takes longer. The corner you can’t see still gets squared up. The screw you’ll never look at still goes in straight.
No padding, no games, no mystery invoices. You see every line item. If something changes mid-build, you hear about it before we spend a dollar more.
Most of our work comes from past clients. That says more than any award. We’re building a business we can keep doing for thirty years — one good job, one good conversation at a time.
I’ll come to you. No sales pitch — just a conversation about your project.
